If I may do a bit of thought dumping before I start my essay- there's a scene in steven universe future where pink pearl says "I was badly hurt... how did you stop hurting?" to pearl and pearl responds with "I didn't" and im just imagining that with tubbo and techno talking about the red festival. like maybe it's bc i like fireworkduo but there’s just something about techno admitting he hasnt gotten over the festival to the other person most affected by it (sorry for the random rant lol)

Also hhhh yeah, that’s good! I have a lot of conflicted feelings over how like, minimizing his own trauma is one of Techno’s more important (and telling) character traits and it makes him who he is - plus as somebody who handles my trauma in a similar way, it’s really nice to have a character I can relate to on that level. But at the same time, it’s BECAUSE he does this that a lot of the fandom doesn’t seem to /acknowledge/ Techno’s trauma either and that’s just a shame and super frustrating, sometimes I wonder how things would be different if he’d speak up about his trauma more. And fireworkduo is an excellent dynamic so I think a conversation between them would do them both good
